Designing a dashboard's colour scheme

Designing a dashboard's colour scheme

Accessit allows librarians to customise dashboards using their preferred colour scheme.

For each dashboard, specific colours can be allocated to the main banner at the top...

... as well as item headers.

These colours are determined by the dashboard’s theme.

Librarians can create different themes and apply them to different dashboards.

Alternatively, the same theme can be used across each of your dashboards.

Creating a dashboard theme

Log in to the Web App with credentials that allow editing permissions.

On the left, click Manager options and toggle on the Edit and manage Dashboards switch.

Click Manage Dashboards and themes.

At the bottom of the popup in the Manage themes section, click New theme.

In the Theme name field, enter a suitable name for the new theme.

The Header background colour option allows you to choose a colour for the banner at the top of the dashboard.

Click the button underneath Header background colour

Choose an option from the available colour palette.

The hex code field at the top will preview the chosen colour.

To use a custom colour instead, enter a specific hex code into the top field.

The field will display a preview of the hex code’s colour.

Click OK to confirm the colour.

The Dashboard view background colour dropdown allows you to choose a shade for the background behind dashboard items.
